Abstract:
A decorative cover for kitchen appliances selected from a group at least
including blenders, mixers, food processors, juicers, toasters, electric
can openers and coffee makers, such decorative cover comprising a
substantially hollow member, a first portion of said substantially hollow
member being formed as a doll's head having at least a nose, eyes and a
mouth, a second portion of the substantially hollow member being a body
for such decorative cover. A skirt portion is attached to such second
portion of such substantially hollow member, such skirt portion flaring
outwardly for covering such appliance. A waist band is disposed at a
bottom portion of the body portion. There is a means for securing such
decorative cover to such kitchen appliance.Claims:
1. A decorative cover for kitchen appliances selected from a group at
least including blenders, mixers, food processors, juicers, toasters,
electric can openers and coffee makers, said decorative cover
comprising:(a) a substantially hollow member, a first portion of said
substantially hollow member being formed as a doll's head having at least
a nose, eyes and a mouth;(b) a second portion of said substantially
hollow member being a body for said decorative cover;(c) a skirt portion
attached to said second portion of said substantially hollow member, said
skirt portion flaring outwardly for covering such appliance;(d) a waist
band disposed at a bottom portion of said body; and(e) a means for
securing said decorative cover to such kitchen appliance.
2. The decorative cover, according to claim 1, wherein said doll's head further includes hair disposed on a top portion thereof.
3. The decorative cover, according to claim 1, wherein said means for securing said decorative cove to such kitchen appliance includes at least one of hook and loop fasteners, clips, snaps and tying said waist band around such appliance,
4. The decorative cover, according to claim 3, wherein said means for securing is tying said waist band around such kitchen appliance.
5. The decorative cover, according to claim 1, wherein said skirt portion is gathered at a waist portion of said decorative cover.
6. The decorative cover, according to claim 5, wherein said waist band covers said waist portion of said skirt portion.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0002]The present invention relates, in general, to a doll, and, more particularly, the present invention relates to an appliance doll for covering an appliance, such as a blender, with a blender cover doll as a novelty item and a decorative cover for holidays.

BACKGROUND
[0004]Most blender covers, as well as covers for other similar appliances, such as toasters or mixers are drab and do nothing to beautify the overall appearance of the kitchen. Some people do not cover blenders or these other appliances at all. This allows the appliances to become dirtied by ambient dust or spills.
[0005]It would be pleasant if there were covers for these appliances that would be attractive as well as practical in keeping these appliances clean.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0006]In a first aspect the present invention provides a decorative cover for kitchen appliances selected from a group at least including blenders, mixers, food processors, juicers, toasters, electric can openers and coffee makers, such decorative cover comprising a substantially hollow member, a first portion of such substantially hollow member being formed as a doll's head having at least a nose, eyes and a mouth, a second portion of the substantially hollow member being a body for such decorative cover. A skirt portion is attached to such second portion of such substantially hollow member, such skirt portion flaring outwardly for covering such appliance. A waist band is disposed at a bottom portion of the body portion. There is a means for securing such decorative cover to such kitchen appliance.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
[0007]It is, therefore, one of the primary objects of the present invention to provide an appliance cover that is formed like the face of a doll.
[0008]Another object of the present invention is to provide an appliance cover that includes a waist band that ties in the back to secure the cover to the appliance.
[0009]Still another object of the present invention is to provide an appliance cover that is formed like the face of a doll wherein the doll's face includes a hair and a hat.
[0010]In addition to the various objects and advantages of the invention which have been described in some specific detail above it should be noted that various other objects and advantages of the present invention will become more readily apparent to those persons who are skilled in the relevant art from the following more detailed description, particularly when such description is taken in conjunction with the appended claims.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
[0016]Prior to proceeding with the more detailed description of the present invention it should be noted that, for the sake of clarity, identical components which have identical functions have been designated by identical reference numerals throughout the several views illustrated in the drawings.
[0017]In a first aspect the present invention provides a decorative cover for kitchen appliances selected from a group at least including blenders, mixers, food processors, juicers, toasters, electric can openers and coffee makers, such decorative cover, generally designated 10, comprises a substantially hollow member 2, a first portion of the substantially hollow member 2 being formed as a doll's head 4 having at least a nose 6, eyes 8 and a mouth 12, a second portion 14 of the substantially hollow member being a body 14 for such decorative cover 10. A skirt portion 18 is attached to such second portion 14 of such substantially hollow member 2, such skirt portion 18 flaring outwardly for covering such appliance. A waist band 16 is disposed at a bottom portion of the body portion 14. There is a means, 20, for securing such decorative cover 2 to such kitchen appliance. The dolls head 4 portion of such decorative cover 10, further includes hair 22 disposed on a top portion thereof.
[0018]The means 20 for securing such decorative cover 10 to such kitchen appliance includes at least one of hook and loop fasteners, clips, snaps and tying such waist band 16 around such appliance. It is presently preferred that such means for securing is tying such waist band 16 around such kitchen appliance, and it is further preferred that such waist band 16 be tied in a bow on the back of the kitchen appliance.
[0019]Such skirt portion 18 of such decorative caver 10 is gathered at a waist portion of the decorative cover 2. Such waist band 16 covers said waist portion of such skirt portion 18.
[0020]It is also an embodiment of the invention that the head portion 4 of such decorative cover further includes ear rings and a hat. Also such decorative cover 2 could be designed for different occasions such as for various seasons or holidays. It could have a Christmas motif or a motif for Valentine's Day as examples.
[0021]While a presently preferred embodiment and alternate embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail above, it should be understood that various other adaptations and/or modifications of the invention can be made by those persons who are particularly skilled in the art without departing from either the spirit of the invention or the scope of the appended claims.
