28) How do I make a screendump without having an X display?
Some applications need to be able to make a screendump at a point at which they don't have access to an X display or can't rely on one or can't rely on an unsupervised screendump operating correctly. An option for all these cases is to use the xvfb X Virtual Frame Buffer in X11R6. The X Virtual Frame Buffer Server uses memory allocated in the process heap or even mmapped to a file as its frame buffer.
