It can be used as a channel of communication to/from their members, or to exhibit their aims/concerns/activities to a wider audience. It can also be used to facilitate communication between the members themselves. Groups may be created in this hierarchy to discuss matters common to broad classes of organisations, with groups for individual organisations of the class in a sub-hierarchy below those groups. It is to be understood that groups to discuss specific organisations will not be created in this hierarchy contrary to the wishes of the organisation itself.
