This FAQ aims to set out the structure of the uk.* hierarchy by providing a
Charter for each of its main branches. Proposers of new groups should study
them carefully to see where their proposal would best fit. Totally new
branches should only be proposed where there is a very clear need, in which
case consideration also needs to be given to what else the new branch might
encompass in the future.

Note, however, that once a specific group has been formed, its own charter
is definitive for that group.
