3.07 Why aren't the places that the characters visit really places in Seattle?



  Real places (generally) aren't used so that if the owner/manager/etc. is
  portrayed negatively, it is not a real person.  If Frasier were to visit a
  real restaurant and then complain about the service, the show would be
  slighting a real establishment and opening the door for legal action.
