This story picks up from elements in TNG first-season
episode "The neutral zone". Moliok, commander of a Romulan
warbird, puts down a rebellion in a remote sector of the
empire and ponders the bad luck of her present assignment.
Then Moliok and her crew encounter an unknown intruder.
Perhaps the huge cubic vessel means a change in her luck.
Also contains pre-production sketches from ST: FC and an
interview with director Jonathan Frakes. Painted cover of a
female Romulan Borg.
