What is the average bowling speed of a fast bowler?
There is no "official" speed scale used for the classification. But ... Donald Rose: These are some rough guides. EXPRESS above 152 kph (91 mph) FAST 145 - 152 kph (87 - 91 mph) FAST MEDIUM 133 - 145 kph (80 - 87 mph) MEDIUM FAST 120 - 133 kph (72 - 87 mph) MEDIUM 90 - 120 kph (54 - 72 mph) SLOW below 90 kph (54 mph) Sridhar: not bad, but your conversion chart is a little off... From watching a bunch of recent tours on TV with the speedometer readings shown, this is my conclusion: Superfast - 145+kmh eg Shoaib, Brett Lee Fast - 135+ eg Donald, Wasim,Waqar Fast-Medium - 130+ eg Mcgrath, Pollock
