Subject:  General Introduction -- rec.scouting.girl+guide

Welcome to rec.scouting.girl+guide, the newsgroup for
members of organizations associated with the World Association of Girl 
Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).  All parties with an interest in  this 
aspect of Scouting and Guiding are encouraged to participate 
in this group.  This is the international forum for Girl Scouting and Guiding.

This group discusses issues concerning guiding organizations and those
that belong to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
Cross-posting to other rec.scouting groups is strongly discouraged.
Postings not related to Girl Scouting or Guiding are discouraged.

Relavent Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) files are posted to each 
rec.scouting.* group.  The FAQs of general interest to all the groups 
are posted in rec.scouting.misc.

Please see FAQ #1 for our charter and important information
about all the rec.scouting.* groups.

If you are new to the group, please take a few minutes and post
a note introducing yourself, tell what organization you are with,
how long you have been involved, and what your special intrests
are.

If you have a useful item that hasn't been included in this FAQ, please
do all of us the favor. Write it up and post it on rec.scouting.guide+girl.
Drop me a copy too to make sure that I include it in this file.

As the FAQ files are updated regularly, make sure that you have the
latest copy in your hands. The release date of this FAQ is indicated in
the line starting with "Last-Modified:" at the top of this file. Files
older than three months should be considered as outdated.

This file or parts of it may be freely used, printed and re-distributed
