Introduction
This document attempts to answer the most frequently asked questions about mgetty+sendfax/vgetty, Gert Doering's fax-enabled getty replacement with Klaus Weidner's and Marc Eberhard's voice processing extensions. The official release of mgetty is now (at least) 1.0. Gert adopted the numbering scheme of the Linux kernel, with even release numbers (1.0, 1.2,...) being production version and uneven numbers being development versions. Pls note that in 1.0 there's no vgetty support as that is being revamped. If you need voice, you have to go for older versions or, far better, for the newer development tree. Subject: Japanese Version I'm glad I can announce a Japanese Version made by chie nakatani <jeanne@mbox.kyoto-inet.or.jp>. You can find it at <URL:http://epsenewsc.gee.kyoto-u.ac.jp/JF/JF-ftp/euc/mgetty_j.euc> Subject: Legalese This document is copyrighted by the FAQ Maintainer, K.Lichtenwalder.
