They are usually quite up to date with the duty free allowances of each country. -------------------- B4.3.2 Allowances for people relocating to NZ You will be given an allowance of value of goods to be brought into NZ. So within the first 5 years ( I think) you can bring in quite a lot as long as you are within the allowance without being taxed (customs duty) provided they are personal belongings for your use here. Check the details with the NZ Embassy/Consulate in your country or write to the NZ Customs. You need to find out the allowance and ensure you know the exact conditions pertaining to your circumstance.
