These files will also appear in other sites that mirror the RTFM archives. ========== rec.pets.cats FAQ List Introduction to rec.pets.cats.announce This is a list of those informational posts and FAQs that are regularly posted to rec.pets.cats.announce and/or news.answers. As the rpc.announce charter states in part: This moderated group is meant for quick access to informational postings covering all areas of cat ownership. Postings to this group will include, but not be limited to: 1. FAQ's about various breeds and their characteristics 2. FAQ's regarding care and feeding of domestic cats 3. Catnames List 4. Announcements of shows, gatherings of interest and upcoming events. Reader-supplied FAQs and informational postings on any feline related topic are welcomed and will be posted subject to moderator approval. Submissions related to medical matters are referred to veterinary professionals for confirmation of accuracy before posting. To send informational posts or FAQ's to rec.pets.cats.announce, email to rpc-info@iname.com. Please label the subject line clearly, and remember that some posts may be better served by posting to one of the other newsgroups available, particularly if it is not something you would repost on a periodic basis. Note that any email sent to rpc-info@iname.com or "posted" to rec.pets.cats.announce will receive an automated acknowledgement of the submission. If you have inserted anti-spam into your return address, you will not get this automatic acknowlegement, nor will I make the additional effort to correctly transcribe your address should I reject your article. If you have a question about a post that you submitted, with a valid return address, but saw neither a rejection notice nor an appearance in the newsgroup, then please email me directly at tittle@io.com. Please enclose a copy of the article in question, when you posted it, and other relevant details, the more the better. Use a valid return address -- again, I will not wade through anti-spam altered addresses to find the correct one. In the following list, the "status" indicates whether the post is a FAQ and crossposted to news.answers, or an informational posting that appears only in rec.pets.cats.announce.
