I first apologize for stirring up an obviously old topic.
I have an FAQ that has already been approved for *.answers in the rec.
hierarchy. At a later time I decided that one of the groups in the uk.
hierarchy would also be appropriate for my FAQ, and the regulars of that
group welcomed it. I tried to add the uk. group to the Newsgroups line, and
get the FAQ re-approved.
The answer that I received from Charles then was (snipped from private
mail):
> I have looked at this article, and I do not consider it suitable for
> uk.answers since it does not relate specifically to a uk.* newsgroup,
> and we have a specific policy to keep general worldwide FAQs out of
> uk.answers, and crossposting to rec.answers is explicitly forbidden.
But subsequently, I got an additional reply from David Alex Lamb (snipped
from private mail):
> For now, just remove uk.answers but leave in the other uk group.
My question is: after the above (the Cricket FAQ) finally got sorted out,
does this decision still stand correct?
TIA, SiKing.
