I've been looking into the Spam Hippo issue. I don't believe that it's
possible to configure the filter threshold low enough to affect FAQs,
certainly not ones posted less than once per week.
The Hippo's default is to accept up to 8 copies of a post within its
correlation window, the size of which is defined by the database size
set by the newsadmin. Even if that threshold had been reduced by the
admin to 4, and with a database size of, say, 10 million records, that
would still not catch a weekly FAQ, much less a monthly one.
I'm still investigating.
