An offer: investigation of missing FAQs

Well, I have time available at the moment to look into this issue, and
contacts and access to facilities that may be helpful.

I'm prepared to have a shot at investigating the whole FAQ propagation
issue. To do this, I'll need:

- information (see below) from maintainers who have noticed problems
with distribution of their FAQs

- Pam to put me in contact with the newsadmin at MIT, and for that
admin to cooperate (shouldn't need much of his time)

If you maintain a FAQ and want to report propagation problems to me, then
send mail to andrew+faqs@erlenstar.demon.co.uk (*not* to this list)
with the following info:

- the headers of the missing FAQ
- the posting schedule normally followed, and an indication if that
posting schedule has been recently changed or unscheduled postings
made
- The site where the FAQ was posted, and a list of sites where it was
found or not found (or found delayed)

Recent information is preferred; reports made within 8 days of the
posting date of the FAQ give considerably more scope for
investigation.
