I didn't know about it for a long time, even though I was subscribed
to faq-maintainers-announce (I'd thought that would be the best place
to start publicizing it).
I now have links to rtfm and faqs.org in all my pointer-to-FAQ posts.
The FAQ for comp.bbs.waffle can be found on the Internet:

(I still wish faqs.org had a pure by-newsgroup path, like rtfm does,
