So do many of the people who write me in response to my
FAQ. Even better, they say they really like my web site.
Trouble is, I don't have a web site. I assume (never could
verify) that they read it on faqs.org, or possibly
rtfm.mit.edu or at OSU.

Or maybe they actually saw it in the newsgroup -- which they
were reading with a web browser. The ones who have some
inkling of what a newsgroup is, often refer to "your
newsgroup".

Many people arriving on the net in the past couple of years
only know web. To them, "web" and "net" are synonymous. Be
careful of placing any meaning on references to "the web"
or "your web site".
