This is a problem with the AOL UI. The last time I checked, AOL
could only display 32K in a window. However, the user can hit a
"download entire article" button and get it all, albeit in a
less convenient form. (I think it then must be viewed with a
different editor.)

Now someone with more recent memories of AOL will likely correct
my details. The point, though, is that AOL users *can* read the
entire article -- it's just that they are forced to use an
obtuse and inconvenient method which new users typically don't
find immediately.

It's one thing to respect the 60K limit that's been recommended
Usenet-wide for many years. It's something else to adjust
article lengths because a single site (however large) can't
handle what everyone else does easily.
