Hi,
I've written some software which allows me to maintain the FAQ
for the soc.culture.scottish newsgroup and thought readers here might be
interested. The software, Q-HTML, allows me to have one large text
version for posting to soc.answers but also an automatically sectioned
HTML version, split by subject with working internal links for posting
on the WWW.

The program's output also has
followable active links (WWW, gopher, ftp, etc)
mailto references automatically inserted
newsgroup references automatically inserted
3 strategies for dealing with newlines in the original document
support for both PC and Unix file formats
Date and time stamp on output
Any underlined text converted to level 2/level 3 headers as appropriate
Titles, head, body markers automatically inserted
and more

The program is 25K and runs under all MS Windows platforms. For X, it
runs sucessfully under the wine MS windows emulation environment.

Besides FAQ splitting, the program will also take single/multiple text
files and generate single/multiple HTML files from them.

The software is currently FREE but has a limited lifetime.

Two users have recently called it the best product of its type
available.
