My 'faq' had become that a few years ago. I made a plea on the news group
for help - and got some folk who volunteered. In some cases, they worked
out and others they didn't because of their own time committments and they
found replacements.
The downsize to sharing is that once you have shared, the other parts are
no longer yours, so you need to butt out (which I hope I have done) .
This can cause new frustrations if the FAQ isn't done the way you want
or if there are personality conflicts or quirks which cause friction.
Another downsize is that it makes possible future publication of the
collective FAQ more difficult; not impossible, but certainly more
difficult than some publishers wish to take on.
