You should remember that AoL does not introduce crosspostings at all
-- for a post crossposted to 10 newsgroups, if you read it in group A
and follow it up, your post shows up in group A only. Therefore
AoL does not need to do anything else about crosspostings.

I also have a feeling that AoL does not bother with the Followup-To:
poster setting. If this is the case, it means newbies reading
news.answers can submit many stuffs to the moderation team and increase
their loads.

(Maybe you guys and gals want to try it since I just canceled my AoL
membership yesterday :) after trying it for my friends)
