I'm pretty sure we pay attention to "Followup-to:", since we
have an entire subsystem devoted to sending mail back to the poster
of a message.
However, I was primarily speaking as the maintainer of the
comp.mail.sendmail FAQ, and as someone who is aware of "large
sites" that do happen to keep many posts for quite some time.
Of those large sites, AOL is just one (which happens to be my
employer, but that's a separate issue -- I would have said the same
thing, had I not been employed here but did have that knowledge of
their operation).
