My rough notion is that you want to record "Thanks, this
answered my question!" events. Could be mechanized as a
form with only the submit button visible. Auto-generated
hidden form fields could capture the context (if you are
worried about clients with Referrer: turned off).
It would also be possible to craft a mailto: response method
which honors the Followups-To: indication and uses some
mail-to-News gateway where this is not poster. This goes on [at
the foot of] the HTML-in-archive image of the FAQs (and FAQ
parts) themselves.
