Re: being paid for FAQ maintenance

This is quite different from the original thread, which was more of a
professional/non-private nature, but recently, a few people on the newsgroup
I maintain the FAQ for have been throwing around the idea of sending "private
donations" or something to a few people who spend a lot of time & effort
on their web pages, FAQ, etc... It seems likes a really weird idea to just
have a few people's addresses stuck up their asking for donations, but I
certainly wouldn't mind receiving money for what I do... :> Then again, it
may go against many beliefs of appropriate use of 'net resources, etc...
<shrug> Is there a tactful way of going about something like this? Has anyone
else done this?
L8er...
