Is there a department of "soviet and east euopean studies" or simalar at
the university? or some other group that would support the retenion of
the full archive.

Did you give notice during the period that this person was posting that
you were maintaining an archive of the postings?

If there is a legal action brewing, the contents of the archive may be
"evidence" in that action..and by deleting them you may be "supressing
evidence"
