I receive lots of questions because of my FAQ. However, I find
many of these questions are impossible for me to answer, either
because they are too broad ("what gun should I use for self defense?"),
too obscure ("I found this 70 year old shotgun in my grandfather's
attic....") or just clueless. My solution to this is to have
a standard reply which I send back which explains that I most likely
don't have the answer to their question, and then suggests where
they might find answers (newsgroup, NRA, etc.) This helps
*alot*, as it weeds out a good 3/4 of the questions I receive,
leaving me more time to answer the questions which I actually
am able to.
