Do you want to "give something back" to the Internet community at
large? Would you enjoy writing helpful email to friendly folks around
the globe? Are you a masochist and/or workaholic with just too much
time on your hands?

Have we got an offer for you!

We're looking for a couple of new volunteer moderators.

Requirements:
A reasonably stable, fairly fast telnet connection to MIT. To
check, ping -s mit.edu; if your turnaround is much more than 200
ms, working will be nearly impossible.

About 5 hours a week, on the average, mostly connected to MIT.

Enthusiasm, dedication, reliability, willingness to learn the
moderation setup, optimism about the future of *.answers and FAQs

Helpful, but not necessary:
Knowledge of emacs, the MH mail system, AFS

If you're interested, write us at news-answers-request@mit.edu and
we'll send you a bit more information to help you decide.

Thanks,

- Pam Greene
one of the *.answers moderators, news-answers-request@mit.edu
