Why don't you:

1 same
2 same
3 Save As / ASCII text
That way you don't have to mess with your Netscape screen width to
get it to 80 column width. This is what I do with my FAQ, and I find the
ASCII intepretation better than the shareware HTML converters I've tried.
You can maintain your HTML in a text or HTML editor and use a word
processor with save as text ability when writing large new sections.
