I've written up some comments on formatting my FAQ at <URL:

Basically I use a subset of LaTeX commands and then
LaTeX2HTML to make HTML, and LameTeX for the plain text.

The problem with using lynx -dump is that it doesn't
write out any URLs that you quote in links.
