I maintain a "CASE tool FAQ" in comp.software-eng. I let vendors supply
whatever short descriptive phrase they like for their tools, but anything
longer has to go on a Web page (I provide space if they don't have a server)
cited from the FAQ. The theory is that I don't want to include "advertising"
in the FAQ but am prepared to make any degree of hype available for retrieval.
Other parts of the FAQ include brief product reviews, but over the years as
the original contributor's remarks become out of date I've started slowly to
cut them out (since I don't have the resources to keep updating the reviews
myself).
