Originally, it was because there were all these questions and nobody was
answering them... rec.games.miniatures, the subject was miniature figure
painting. I asked for help a few dozen times, gone no response, so leaped
in with both feet and posted the first FAQ. *That* got responses, and now
there are a lot of contributors, though a sizable portion of the writing
is still my original work.
The .signature FAQ stemmed from my frustration at seeing the question posted
2-3 times a week and the myriad of (often bad) answers responding to it. So
I put together something that reads fast and is east to impliment.

I giess you could call me an initiative FAQ-originator. I'm in the process
of writing two more...
