| I don't think that maintaining a FAQ can be characterized as selfish,
| simply because the FAQ is not in a preferred format. Regardless of
| format, increasing the informational content is a service to the net
| readership, not a selfish act.
I'm writing a FAQ on gender-free pronouns (sie, hir, zie, zir, etc. -- seen
in soc.singles & other groups frequently). For me, a large part of my
motivation comes from it being an artistic / creative exercise, and if it
had to be in some official format i probably wouldn't be doing it.
