I won't argue about the ugliness of RFC1153, except to note that PGP is ugly
as well. I'm only concerned here about PGP (or any equivalent message)'s
ability to coexist with preexisting formats, or in general arbitrary
documents. Isn't it PGP's job to keep itself inconspicuous? Shouldn't it be
hidden in a header (a solution appropriate only to mail and news, but that's
enough in this forum), or parsed and then discarded by something like
metamail (much more general)?

This is getting away from FAQs, but I thought I sensed a Procrustean bed
being built.
