So, If I make a CD with music that means that I have voided my ownership to the
songs? No, distribution of something does NOT stop your ownership of the
material.

>Now, I happen to be actively updating my documents

Copyright means 'right to copy'. That means that the copyright holder decides
who is allowed to make copies. The maker of the document has copyright.
I the owner sais 'I want to retain copyright' then nobody can take a copy of it
and give away. Yes, this means that you don't have the right to print a FAQ and
give it to your mom.

Saying (like the alternative letter does) that Walnut Creek isn't violating
Copyrights is merely silly. They are.

>If Walnut Creek wants to redistribute my information on a CD-ROM, fine.
>I do other things to make money, and I appreciate the extra publicity.

I'm with you there. My FAQ will probably end up on the CD-ROM too, but problem
is that they should have asked me first. Its the same with my stuff. I don't
mind if somebody borrows my radio here at work for example. But I get pissed off
if they don't ask me first. It's called stealing, you know.
