How to Cross Post a FAQ Announcement

You can get the reminder post of the announcement listed in the List
of Periodic Informational Postings (LoPIP), w/out cross-posting it to
*.answers newsgroups. All postings listed in the LoPIP are archived
in the appropriate non-*.answers newsgroups directories.

Usually a force takes effect that day or the next day. Very recently,
a couple of problems on rtfm.mit.edu related to sendmail configuration
error caused some delays to mail sent to the machine. Did you also
get the acknowledgement from the faq-server delayed by a few days, or
did the acknowledgement come back immediately, but the postings
occurred several days after that? The former indicates a one-shot
problem, the latter indicates something worth looking into.
