post_faq.pl vs Perl 5 -- a warning

The default install procedure for Perl 5 makes the "perl" command
point to perl5, not perl4.036. Your system administrator might not
realise this (or might not care).

If you feed JIK's post_faq script to Perl 5, it accepts it as
syntactically valid, but the script goes bananas; it fails to post the
FAQ, generating a message-ID with two '@' symbols in it, then wipes
out the configuration file with duplicate copies of the same line of
text.

So, beware.
