Just to throw my method of FAQ generation into the pool of suggestions to
this FAQ on FAQs ;-) :

I need to maintain a version my PageMaker FAQ in ASCII, HTML
and WinHelp. The third adds considerable complexity. My method
is thus:

WinWord Document --> RTF ---> Modified rtf2html program ---> FAQ.HTML
| |
| |
| |------> Modified rtf2text program --> FAQ.TXT
| |
| |
| +------> Small modification script (optional) --+
| |
| |
| FAQ.HLP <------ WinHelp Compiler -----+
|
+---> Adobe Acrobat (toying with this right now)

It took a heck of a lot of time, however, set up what I have (and a
lot of programming) and it is highly customized to the formatting of
my faq. The most difficult thing was that the help compiler uses many of the
secret ways of hiding text within a document (like hidden text or footnotes)
so that I could not use these myself without something in between rtf
and the WinHelp Compiler

Geoff.
