Well, I can't imagine actually posting my FAQ in html format, but I
do have a WWW page set up that contains the FAQ in text form as well
as other information resources. I would really like to convert the
FAQ to html for the WWW page, but then I run into the problem of
maintaining concurrent versions in html and text.
Has anyone written any utilities for this purpose? What I could really
use is a utility that would take an input file containing the questions
and answers in some format, and create two output files:
1) A text version, with a table of contents at the top and correct numbers
throughout. I imagine something like this probably exists.
2) An HTML version, where the table of contents was links to the appropriate
section in the FAQ, and where any URL's in the input file were converted
to links.
