Yuck!

I have received a few replies about mailto usage. To summarize, all basically
said that there is a standard for email addressing. Because there is, people
plan on continuing to use it. There has not been a standard notation for other
services such as telnet, ftp, ... Since there has not been an accepted
standard notation, the URL syntax has being adopted for those services.
