While I realize this could be a logistical nightmare, why not consider
allowing FAQ maintainers whose FAQ's you use to share the profits?
Certainly they in the aggregate have done more for this book than you
will. Give us 3 options: 1, no, you can't use my FAQ; 2, yes, you can
use my FAQ but if you make money I want to, too; 3, yes, you can use my
FAQ with no restrictions.

The volunteer work that all FAQ maintainers do is admirable, but I doubt
there are many who would turn down compensation if it were offered to them.
