I'm baffled by something, and I'm sure one of you knows the answer.
About a week ago, I used post_faq to post an FAQ to my newsgroup
(rec.games.empire) and a couple of *.answers newsgroups. Now my FAQ
has not been approved yet, so I understand why the FAQ hasn't appeared
in *.answers, but why didn't it make it to rec.games.empire? This is
first line of the post:
Newsgroups: rec.games.answers,rec.answers,news.answers
And this was the line in my config file:
faq /usr/ydisk/stevens/edir/rge/FAQ . 30 none . .
When I ran post_faq, I received a message telling me that my post had
been sent to the moderator of news.answers, so I know something got sent.
About the only thing I can think of is that inews checks to see if one
of the newsgroups being sent to is moderated, and if it is, then it
doesn't send it to _any_ of the newsgroups until the post has been
approved. But that doesn't make any sence because how would my inews
know when my post got approved by one of the newsgroups? Would
someone please explain to me why my post never made it to rec.games.empire?
Sincerely,
a Bear of Very Little Brain
