Standard for Usenet References?

Sorry if this has been covered before, but is there a standard, accepted
format for referencing an on-line FAQ in a non on-line paper?

I maintain the Blade Runner FAQ, and one of the authors of _Retrofitting
Blade Runner_ is working on the reprint of this book, and would like to
include a reference to the on-line FAQ. Any ideas how this should be done?
