I recently posted the alt.feminism FAQ to news.answers (thanks to the
moderators for their help). However, I have been unable to find the
document at rtfm.mit.edu.
Is there something else I need to do to get the FAQ archived, or is it
simply a matter of time before it shows up on the site?
*.answers FAQs are supposed to be archived on rtfm.mit.edu
automatically, and they normally are.
However, the level of hosage on rtfm has reached new heights recently,
and one of the results is that the rkive job that archives postings is
taking a *long* time. For example, the last time it ran, it took over
a week to complete :-(.
We are working to resolve the problems. In the meantime,
unfortunately, some FAQs may not get archived successfully on
rtfm.mit.edu. If there is an urgent need for a specific FAQ to be
archived, feel free to send news-answers-request@mit.edu mail about it
and we'll put it into the archive by hand.
