An interesting case of hypertext without the underlines occurs outsite
the html/www domain. A tool called tkman allows one to browse in an
X window various man pages. When one clicks on a word in the man page,
the tool attempts to locate that word's man page. Of course, if the
work is 'Joe_Cool' there may not _be_ a man page, and you are told that.
But it is pretty neat none the less.

In my own mind, the one thing that I would like to see added back to WWW
is the ability for someone to add their own personal, local or global
annotations to documents. Right now it is non-trivial to add comments or
suggest corrections to a document. Once this capability again returns
globally I think I will find WWW significantly better.
