I maintain the sci.med.aids FAQ, and am fairly new at it. Right now,
since my interface is mostly GUI, I keep the FAQ on my mac in files, then
post it through a GUI newsreader regularly. I'd like to set things up so
that I can post it automatically each month.
I'm pretty good with emacs, so I'm happy to transfer it to our unix
system. When I read news when I'm on our Unix system I use tin, although
I've never posted the FAQ that way (but easily could).
Any tips on automating posting? I already know how to send automated mail
messages using cron (I maintain three lists too). But I've never tried
to do anything that way via news.
I'll admit to being somewhat of a newbie at this - so if you give me
suggestions, please make it in semi english. Thanks much.
