Similar experiences here... I've had some people mail me about the
comp.graphics.gnuplot FAQ correcting or extending some points, mostly
program developers ;-)

I'm not too sure, maybe the readers of a FAQ think it's so much
distilled wisdom that they can't imagine it depends on the readers'
participation as much as anything else.
