1. Pyongyang maintains an unyielding stance regarding the crew of the Pueblo. An article in the authoritative Nodong Slnmun, broadcast onanuary, said those who had violated North Korea's sovereignty were criminals who must be "dealt with, by law" and receive "due punishment."

Council President Aga Shahl of Pakistan conferred with the other Council members, some of whom asked for time to consult their governments.
