Although the speaker has an Americanthe language is stilted and contains expressions an American would be unlikely to use. Bucher's age is given incorrectly. The "confession" stated that the Pueblo "criminally" intruded into North Korean waters and had been ordered to "execute assignments given by the Central Intelligence Agency."
