USai Bilateral Clearing Agreements

1- Enclosed you will find the list of Soviet bilateral clearing agreements which you requested. All countries with vhlch tho USSR la known to have such agreements are Included although in soao cases the details of tho arrangements are unknown.

2. The lovel of trade envisioned at the time tho agreements vero signed may be somewhat misleading, due to the fact that an often substantial amount of trade is carried on outside tbe fraacvork of the^ agreements. Actual Soviet trade with those countries in recent yearsdetailed ln tho annual foreign trade handbooks published by tho USSt.

Extensive Hats of commodities to be traded are raroly included in such agreements. CooBodity trade of tha USSR in recent years may also be found in the foreign trade handbooks.
