The military council met yesterday and announced life is returning to normal but retained curfews in Wroclaw and five other cities. overnment spokesman disclosed thatrotesters were detained, three demonstrators killed, and moreolicemen and protesters injured. Archbishop Glemp departed yesterdayong-scheduled visit to West Germany.
Comment: The admission that as many aseople took part in the protests suggests arrests and injurios have run higher. Glemp's departure gives credance to the government's claim that calm has been restored. The deaths and the widespread disorders will make it difficult, however, for the regime to play
