A London newspaper reported yesterdayubsidiary of the Chinese arms exporter Norinco agreedays ago to supplyons of lithium hydride to Baghdad. The London report speculates that the chemical would most likely be useduel for ballistic missiles. The report also speculates that the lithium hydride could be used in nuclear and chemical weapons programs. China's Foreign Ministry immediately labeled the story as "totally groundless" and reiterated China's support for the UN embargo against military sales to Iraq.H
